| Abstract |
A review of animal experiments, epdidemiologic studies and analytical experience indicates no safe airborne fibre concentration for any asbestos mineral. NIOSH thus recommends that no regulatory distinction be made between airborne asbestos fibres and airborne nonasbestiform cleavage fragments of the minerals tremolite, actinolite and anthophyllite, and that the 3 minerals not be deleted from OSHA's asbestos standard. |
