Vocational Rehabilitation and Employment (Disabled Persons) Convention, 1983 (No. 159) - Kuwait (Ratification: 1998)

The Committee notes the text of Law No. 49 of 1996 on the Welfare of Disabled Persons forwarded by the Government in its first report, which was received in November 2000. The Committee recalls the particular importance of submitting a detailed first report, which provides the basis for its initial assessment of the observance of ratified Conventions. The Committee therefore would appreciate receiving more detailed information on each of the issues raised in the report form as well as further information on the application of the Convention in practice, as requested under Part V of the report form adopted by the Governing Body.
