Article 5(1) of the Convention. Effective tripartite consultations. The Committee notes the information provided by the Government in its brief report that the National Council for Social Dialogue held tripartite consultations concerning the ratification procedures in relation to several ILO Conventions. In this respect, the Committee notes with interest the recent ratification of the Social Security (Minimum Standards) Convention, 1952 (No. 102), the Termination of Employment Convention, 1982 (No. 158) and the Promotional Framework for Occupational Safety and Health Convention, 2006 (No. 187) on 7 June 2024. In addition, it notes the Government’s indication that tripartite consultations are convened according to a timetable or, when necessary, on an emergency basis. Noting that the Government has not provided specific information on the remaining matters on which Article 5(1) of the Convention makes tripartite consultations mandatory as well as information on the frequency, content and outcome of these consultations, the Committee reiterates its request in this regard. It further wishes to follow with the Government regarding any developments regarding the possible ratification of the Employment Policy Convention, 1964 (No. 122).
