Article 1 of the Convention. National policy on the effective elimination of child labour. The Committee notes with regret the absence of specific information in the Government’s report in relation to its previous request in relation to the national policy on the effective elimination of child labour. The Committee, therefore, once again requests the Government to pursue its efforts to eliminate child labour in all sectors and to provide information in this respect. The Committee further reiterates its request to the Government to provide information on the implementation of the Action Plan for the Elimination of Child Labour for 2022–24, and the results achieved.
Article 7(3). Determination of light work. The Committee notes with regret the absence of information in the Government’s report in relation to its previous request regarding the determination of light work for young persons aged 14–16. The Committee further notes that the Action Plan for the Elimination of Child Labour for 2022–24 envisages the work on the elaboration of a list of light work activities permitted to children from 14 to 16 years of age in their free time from study (priority No. 1.2). Recalling that pursuant to Article 7(3) of the Convention, the competent authority shall determine the types of light work permitted to children and shall prescribe the conditions in which such employment or work may be undertaken, the Committee once again requests the Government to provide information on the elaboration of the list of types of work activities permitted to children from 14 to 16 years of age and to provide a copy of such a list once adopted.
