The Committee notes with regret that the Government has not responded to its previous comments. It observes, however, that the report contains an updated list of collective agreements in force.
The Committee recalls the joint observations of the Synergy of Workers of Togo (STT) and the National Federation of Independent Unions of Togo (UNSIT), received on 31 October 2022, alleging in particular the absence of consultation of trade unions in the process of formulation and adoption of the Labour Code. The Committee again requests the Government to provide its comments in this regard.
Promotion of collective bargaining in practice. The Committee notes the information provided by the Government on collective agreements in force. These are 17 in number, of which the latest, adopted between 2023 and 2025, concern the media, pharmaceutical (public health), postal, telecommunications, oil, maritime, banking, financial establishments and insurance sectors. The Committee requests the Government to continue to provide information on the number of collective agreements concluded and in force in the country, as well as the sectors concerned, and the number of workers covered by the agreements. The Committee also requests the Government to indicate measures taken to promote collective bargaining in the different sectors of activity covered by the Convention.
The Committee is raising other matters in a request addressed directly to the Government.
