Articles 5 and 6 of the Convention. Monitoring mechanisms and programmes of action. National action plan to combat trafficking in persons. The Committee notes the information provided by the Government in its report regarding the implementation of the National Action Plan against Trafficking in Persons (NAP) for 2020–2024. In particular, measures were taken to strengthen cooperation among various agencies, ensure effective exchange of information and conduct regular meetings and joint training sessions focused on combating trafficking in persons. The Government further refers to various educational events organized by the Centre for Assistance to Victims of Trafficking in Persons, in collaboration with the State Labour Inspectorate, the Ministry of Youth and Sport and schools to raise awareness about child trafficking and children’s rights. Furthermore, to implement paragraph 4.8.5 “Conducting promotional and awareness-raising work with entrepreneurs and employers to prevent the exploitation of child labour” of the NAP for 2020–2024, training courses were held for small and medium-sized businesses, startups and individuals. These courses aimed to inform participants about labour standards regarding employees under the age of 18. On 1 May 2024, in collaboration with the State Committee for Family, Women, and Children Affairs, an online training session on preventing the worst forms of child labour was conducted for the staff of district and city commissions for juvenile affairs.
Taking note of the measures indicated by the Government, the Committee requests the Government to provide information on the results of monitoring and evaluating the NAP for 2020–2024 in relation to combating child trafficking. It further requests the Government to indicate whether a new National Action Plan to combat child trafficking is being developed and implemented.
