Articles 2 and 5 of the Convention. Effective tripartite consultations. In response to the Committee’s previous comments, the Government indicates that: (i) tripartite consultations, held annually during the preparation for the International Labour Conference, covered the items on the Conference agenda (Article 5(1)(a)); (ii) Conventions Nos 190, 155 and 160 will be submitted to the National Transitional Council (CNT) for ratification (Article 5(1)(b)); (iii) the Labour and Social Legislation Advisory Commission will hold three sessions for the examination of unratified Conventions and of Recommendations to which effect has not yet been given (Article 5(1)(c)); and (iv) the competent legislative body will be consulted on proposals for the denunciation of ratified Conventions (Article 5(1)(e)). The Committee takes due note of this information and requests the Government to continue detailing in its future reports the activities carried out during future reporting periods in relation with the obligations assumed under Article 5 of the Convention. Noting that the report does not contain specific information on tripartite consultations carried out with respect to the matters listed by Article 5(1)(d) of the Convention (questions arising out of reports to be made to the International Labour Office under Article 22 of the Constitution of the International Labour Organization), the Committee reiterates its request for information in this regard.
Article 4(2). Training. In its report, the Government merely indicates that it intends to make arrangements for financing the training of persons participating in the consultations provided for under the Convention. The Committee takes due note of this information and once again requests the Government to provide detailed information on the actual arrangements for the financing of any necessary training of participants in the consultations provided for by the Convention, once they have been made.
