from the Commissioner for Maritime Affairs
This Administration is actively handling this case.
So far, the outstanding wages for the 2nd Engineer have been settled, and he has received the required examination at an orthopaedic clinic. However, there is an issue concerning his repatriation due to complications related to the issuance of visas for Syrian nationals. The current political situation and the closure of borders have made travel to Syria extremely difficult.
The Owners are making continuous efforts to secure a visa and facilitate the repatriation of the 2nd Engineer to Syria.
Please rest assured that we are closely monitoring the situation and will provide updates as new information becomes available.

Medical attention: The doctor's Medical Report here attached.
Repatriation - please find here below message received today from ship's Managers:
Regarding his repatriation, there is a problem related to Syrian nationals’ visa issuance due to political situation in Syria, and regardless visa issuance, now there are too many difficulties to traveling to Syria as borders are closed now,
We are trying continuously to get a visa to repatriate 2nd engineer once the situation in Syria allows us to do so.
