We quote you message received from the ship's Managers BRODOSPLIT PLOVIDBA D.O.O. based at Split, Croatia.

QUOTE

We regret to hear that the seafarers on board m/v ‘MONET’ are considered 'abandoned'. We understand that this is a term used in similar cases, however the situation is as follows:

- The ship is at safe berth in Brodosplit Shipyard where maintenance works and various services are in progress.

- On date when PSC Split came on board and issued Notice of Detention, the total debt owed to the seafarers for their wages was less than two months, because the seafarers received a partial payment of their wages for December. We stated that in the Appeal sent yesterday to the Croatian Flag Administration. So, on that 20th January 2025 the debt to the seafarers was for November and partially for December 2024.

-As far as we know, seafarers did not invite ITF, because they are confident that the owner will settle all the outstanding wages, especially knowing the ship has signed time charter contract starting from April this year what will ensure long term financial stability.

- Seafarers on board are doing their daily duties, they all have proper accommodation, food and drinks. The ship's cook is on board so they have hot meals every day.

- as I told you in previous emails, the owner of the ship is working intensively on securing funds for the payment of outstanding wages, and we expect that the same will be done very soon. If that does not happen within a reasonable time, there is option to settle the outstanding debts by the P&I club.
