(From the Vanuatu International Shipping Registry)
Maritime Administrator acknowledges receipt of your email.
With regard to the LPG tanker NOOH GAS, IMO No. 9034690, kindly note that the vessel was deleted from the Vanuatu Registry on 25 February 2026.
Until the date of deletion, the Administration had not received any concerns, complaints, or reports from the crew, ITF inspectors, or any other party regarding crew wages or abandonment in relation to the subject vessel.
As stated in your email, the reported abandonment took place on 1 June 2026, and the outstanding wage balance is for two months. This was more than three months after the vessel had already been deleted from the Vanuatu Registry.
Accordingly, the Vanuatu Maritime Administration considers that it has no responsibility in respect of the reported abandonment or crew wage claims after the vessel’s deletion.
Vanuatu Maritime Administration remains fully committed to the protection and welfare of seafarers. We work closely with ITF inspectors and other relevant stakeholders to ensure compliance with the Maritime Labor Convention (MLC, 2006) and to promote high standards of seafarer welfare, living conditions, and employment practices throughout our fleet.
