2 July 2026: Other
(From the master)

Greetings from MV RAHAF MOON, IMO 7721885, Tema Anchorage, Ghana.

Sir/Madam, we are 12 crew: 9 Indian, 1 Turkish, 2 Azerbaijani. We are abandoned onboard for 9+ months.

Sir/Madam, the good news:
P&I Al-Bahriah Insurance has confirmed they are ready to:
1. Pay 4 months pending salary to all crew
2. Arrange repatriation tickets to send us home immediately

But the problem:
We cannot sign off and go home without Harbor Master, GMA’s and ITF approval . We are stuck onboard only due to lack of this approval.

Sir/Madam, our humble request:
We join our hands and beg you. Please intervene urgently with the Harbor Master, GMA & ITF and concerned authorities. Request them to hold a meeting and grant approval for our sign-off and repatriation at the earliest.

Our crew is psycho, depressed, and unfit to remain onboard. Not a single crew is ready to stay on the vessel anymore. We have Zero diesel, Zero fresh water, and only 7 days food left.

Sir/Madam, P&I is ready. Funds and tickets are ready. Only your intervention with Harbor Master can send us home now.

Please save 9 Indian lives. We are waiting for your urgent help.

Flag State is claiming the registry has expired but crew reported abandonment to the flag state in January. The certificate expired in March, however they did not get back to master about their situation before then, which is when they contacted the ITF.
